This car is a 1949 Buick Riviera from Racing Champions that I customized by removing the roof and trunk, and then replacing them with the fastback roof of a 1970 Ford Torino Cobra, also from Racing Champions. I shaved all of the trim along the tops of the fenders, down the center of the hood, including the hood ornament, all along the sides of the front and rear fenders and doors, and I even shaved the characteristic Buick "bulletholes" which adorned the side of the front fender.

I removed the tailpipe tip, which is part of the rear bumper, and I shaved the chassis detail smooth in order to get it to sit so low. I had to shave off the NASCAR rollover supports on the front and rear windshields of the Torino's black vinyl "glass". I sanded the "glass", and then polished it smooth. The wheels and tires are from the Riviera. The paint is Candy Purple over Pearl Purple, both from Pactra, and then clearcoat on top. The grille has been detailed with black paint in order to make the grille teeth stand out more.
